Can you get neon colors with SHELLAC™?

Even though SHELLAC™ does not make neon colors due to the exclusive use of natural pigments, there are safe gel alternatives you can use.

Why doesn't SHELLAC have neon colors?

One of the most requested shades for SHELLAC™ is consistently neon colors. That usually increases during spring and summer, as there are more frequent customer requests for the effect. To get beautiful shades and safe products, CND™ uses a combination of natural pigments to achieve the desired color. Neon as such does not exist as a natural pigment, therefore for now that is not possible with SHELLAC™ per se.

What is the best alternative to SHELLAC™, if you still want Neon colors?

If you want to go for neon colors but make sure that you are still delivering safe and quality treatments, the best alternative is the P+ line from Light Elegance. They are HEMA-Monomer FREE, 9 FREE, and vegan.

What is the difference in application and removal of SHELLAC™ and P+?

The application of SHELLAC™ does not require you to buff the nail in any way, just the application of ScrubFresh™ is enough for SHELLAC™ to adhere. P+ would require you to buff the nail before the application of the P+ QD base coat. Find the complete PREP for P+ here:

When it comes to removal, SHELLAC™ is a 100% soak-off system, but P+ would require you to file off the top coat and soak off the rest of the layers. See how to remove P+ here:

Can I use my CND™ lamp with Light Elegance?

Disclaimer: The different curable systems are designed to be used together with the designated LED lamp. That is the only way to ensure that the product is cured properly. Trying to mix systems and lamps cannot guarantee you safety or durability of your treatment.

!! The only reason why it is acceptable to use the CND™ LED Lamp to cure Light Elegance products is that the brand has specifically tested in laboratory conditions and approved that with the similarity of the curing process, a CND™ Lamp could cure Light Elegance products. 

Curing CND™ products using a Light Elegance lamp, on the other hand, has not been properly tested and officially confirmed. There is no guarantee of a proper cure, therefore we would not recommend using It. When it comes to the CND™ line, it is an absolute requirement to stay within the brand's system and use the original CND™ Lamp to cure the different lines.

How to apply P+ using the CND Lamp?

Use the 2S button to cure every layer of a P+ treatment, starting with the base, 2 layers of color, and the top coat.
