      Chrome Effect Step-by-Step

      Make stunning, yet easy nail designs in no time! Choose between endless different effects, create great combinations or set a highlight to only one nail.


      1. Apply a layer of Base Coat and cure.
      2. Apply 1-2 layers of color and cure each.
      3. Apply a layer of top coat (CND™ SHELLAC™ No-Wipe Top Coat, Light Elegance™ Top Gloss , Lecenté™ Layer It™ Top Coat) and cure. Don't remove the sticky layer with IPA.
      4. Use the chrome powder of your choice and apply with the applicator or sponge and rub it over the entire nail. Use only a little chrome powder, otherwise, you will not see the background color below the chrome effect. Make sure that the nail is covered evenly.
      5. Apply the top coat again to seal the effect and cure.
      6. Don't forget nail oil.

      Tip: Did you know that you need to massage chrome powders into a warm top coat? The sticky layer of original top coats would turn the chrome powder into messy mud. If you wipe off the sticky layer with IPA the surface of the nail gets too cold because of the evaporation of the alcohol in the IPA. This is why you need to use a special no-wipe top coat.
