How do I use the wax Heater correctly?

Learn more about the proper use of the different heaters, as well as the correct temperature setting for effective wax treatment.

The wax warmers are often also called heaters. They are needed to melt all 4 Perron Rigot™ wax systems. All Perron Rigot™ waxes can be reheated at any time.

Analog Heater - for 400g and 800g filling weight

To set the optimal temperature on the analog heater,(link) you need to know which temperature is suitable for your wax. The setting for all Perron Rigot™ waxes can be found HERE.(link: Which wax systems are available and for which areas are the different products used?) In most cases, the heater is set to 4.5 - 5. However, the setting should also take into account the room temperature, the customer's body temperature and the time of year.

To heat the hot wax(link) or strip wax(link) quickly, the temperature can be set to maximum for about 20 minutes. Once the wax is liquid, the temperature should be changed back to
4,5-5. Sugar paste(link) (sugaring) should never be heated quickly or the sugar paste may overheat. Set the controller to level 2-3 and wait approx. 30 minutes.

Important! Protect your heater by always clamping a Wax Collar(link) between the heater and the tin.

Digital Heater - for 800g filling weight

The optimal temperature on the digital heater(link) is set using three buttons. One button is used to switch between the different modes, the plus (+) and minus (-) signs are used to set the temperature. It is recommended to set the temperature between 68-72 degrees. Again, when setting the temperature, the room temperature itself, the customer's body temperature and the season should be taken into account.

The FH button means Fast Heat. In this mode, the wax is heated quickly. When the wax reaches the correct core temperature (37°), the heater returns to the pre-selected temperature by itself. Sugar paste(link) (sugaring) should never be heated quickly, otherwise the sugar paste may overheat. Set the temperature to 42°C and wait for about 30 minutes.
