Is your LED Lamp still curing?

Every lamp is worn out at some point and needs to be replaced. Otherwise it can damage the skin and deteriorate the quality of your enhancement. Using these methods, you can easily find out if it is time for a new lamp.

Is your lamp too old?

Every lamp loses power with age. This also changes the type of light that the lamp emits. To avoid damaging effects, do not miss the right time to switch. Light Elegance co-founder Jim McConnell shows you how to measure whether your lamp is too old in two different ways.

UV radiometer

If you want to test your curing lamp, you can use a UV radiometer. This is a test device with a sensor that you can put in the lamp. It measures what kind of light intensity your lamp emits and shows this as a number.

Digital micrometer

You can also use a digital micrometer to find out how well your lamp is still working. This is a very precise measuring stick. With it you can easily measure the effect of your lamp on the gel.

Lamp diary

These numbers alone don't do you much good. If you want to monitor the aging of your lamp, keep a lamp diary. There you can write down the date and the measurement result. When the values start to change, you know it's time for a new lamp.

Measure and note regularly

So you can use a UV radiometer and a digital micrometer to measure how well your lamp is still working. In order to recognize changes you should write down your results and retest every 3 months.
