What is CND PLEXIGEL™?

It´s the new and modern enhancement system, which will make your life so much easier. The clean and simple brush-in-a-bottle system requires no mixing or dripping and the custom brushes deliver a smooth and precise application, every time! the formula repairs chips, cracks, and splints with a flexible and taught coating that simultaneously protects; the natural nail. The system is deigned by professionals, for professionals - so let's get to it.

Is CND PLEXIGEL™ removable?

Yes, it is! But that doesn´t means that we soak off the product by putting fingers in bowls of acetone, but that it can be removed (dissolved) in a safe and healthy way when directions are followed.

What you need to know about removal times?

Removal time is approximately 20-30 minutes and can vary based on thickness of product. For efficiency, we recommend reducing the enhancement by 95% using an E-file or hand file before wrapping the nails with CND™ OFFLY FAST™ Moisturizing Remover and a double cotton pad.

Can CND PLEXIGEL™ cause allergic reactions?

CND PLEXIGEL™ is 12-Free which means that it is formulated without the following 12 ingredients: Formaldehyde, Toluene, DBP, Formaldehyde resin, Camphor, Xylene, Parabens, Ethyl Tosylamide, Triphenyl Phosphate (TPP), MIT, Animal Derived Ingredients & Gluten. Some of these ingredients are commenly known for potentially causing allergies. 

Besides being 12-free CND PLEXIGEL™ is vegan as it is formulated without animal derived ingredients. It is also cruelty-free as it was not tested on animals. 

In terms of allergi the most common ingredient known for causing allergi is free HEMA. CND PLEXIGEL™ is formulated without free HEMA monomer. Trace amounts of HEMA can be found in ingredients used in CND™.

CND PLEXIGEL™ is perfect for combined salons and SPA´s due to its low odor. Although you may note a slight odor from the solvents contained in Bonder and Protector Top Coat. Those solvents are also the reason for why Bonder & Protector Top Coat needs to be rolled before use. This ensure that the ingredients are properly mixed before use. 

And the big questions - what is the difference between CND PLEXIGEL™ Shaper and Builder?

• CND PLEXIGEL™ Shaper is a crystal clear brush-on gel enhancement that plumps, smooths and shapes nails. Perfect for natural nail overlays and short length enhancing (maximum 2-3 mm). Shaper is perfect to be used as an strengthening overlay under Shellac/Gel Polish. Its crystal clear formula is also excellent for incapsulating nail art! 
  
  
• CND PLEXIGEL™ Builder is slightly thicker in viscosity and therefore easier to create longer enhancements that require more apex and architecture. Nails can be sculpted as long as you like.

Because CND PLEXIGEL™ comes in a bottle it has a thinner viscosity than traditional gel systems. To still have strength in the system it is made of a monomer-rich oligomer. Working with a monomer-rich oligomer means that you have to look into the different variables that can occur when curing in the CND™ LED lamp as some clients may experience heat sensitivity.
