      What is P+ Soak Off Gel Polish?

      Light Elegance P+ is a soak-off gel polish for professional use. P+ offers the most popular Light Elegance™ colors and glitters in an easy-to-use gel polish formula and here is everything you need to know about it!

      The P+ System – What is it 

      P+ is a soak-off gel polish for professionals and it consists of three products: QDbase, Color, and Top Coat. The system is designed to be easy and fast and there are endless possibilities in layering the colors and glitters to meet your needs. You can use P+ Soak Off Gel Polish on natural nails and on enhancements and it's also an amazing pair to JimmyGel!

      P+ QDbase base coat is a base gel, that anchors P+ colors and glitters to natural nails. P+ QDbase base coat allows the gel polish to be soaked off without filing.

      Base_Top_FarbeP+ Color & Glitter Soak Off Gel Polish is what gives color to the manicure. The color and glitter gels can be applied directly over existing enhancements, over QDbase or over JimmyGel, but not directly to natural nails. If you apply P+ Color or Glitter directly to natural nails with no P+ QDbase base coat, the polish will crack or chip, because the natural nail is flexible and the gel polish is not. So on natural nails, just swipe P+ QDbase under P+ and you are good to go!

      P+ Top Coat protects the manicure and gives it a high shine. It prevents yellowing and chipping and is an essential part of a successful P+ manicure. Also on enhancements, we recommend you to always finish with P+ Top Coat if you have applied P+ Color or P+ Glitter Soak Off Gel Polish.

      All P+ products are designed to be fast and easy to work with and can be applied with the built-in-brush. No need for extra brushes or tools! Remember to cure all P+ products in a LED dot lamp.

      Why is it called "soak-off" gel polish?

      P+ can be removed by "soaking", which means that no filing or scraping is needed when you remove the gel from natural nails. Read more about removing P+ Soak Off Gel Polishes HERE.

      Can P+ QDbase base coat and P+ Top Coat be replaced by other Light Elegance products?

      Regardless of the manufacturer, you should always work within a system. The P+ System is very versatile and offers some options in the Light Elegance™ universe.

      On natural nails make sure to always use P+ QDbase base coat. This is the only way to achieve optimal adhesion and make sure you are performing high-class work. 

      The P+ system is the perfect partner for Light Elegance™ JimmyGel, the soak-off builder from the bottle. You can use JimmyGel for natural overlays, enhancements, and even extensions. After you applied JimmyGel, cleanse the nail thoroughly. Move on directly with the P+ Color or Glitter Coat and leave out the P+ QDbase base coat.

      You can use P+ Soak Off Gel Polish also on top of hard gel enhancements. After building the nail, cleanse it and continue with the P+ Color or Glitter coat.

      Always seal P+ Soak Off Gel Polish with P+ Top Coat to prevent chipping. The components are perfectly made for each other and make sure that the manicure behaves in the proper way. If you would seal P+ with a hard gel top coat, the layers would react differently on temperatures, humidity, and flexibility - and that makes them break. P+ Top Coat also prevents the colors from yellowing!

      Do I need an additional bonder or primer?

      For customers with difficult nails or who use their nails heavily, gel polishes sometimes chip or do not last. Besides a propper performed P.R.E.P., bonders and primers are a great solution in most cases. Can you use them under P+ Soak Off Gel Polish?  

      Yes, you can! Make sure to stick with the Light Elegance™ products and don't mix in other brands. The bonders and primers can be applied for improved adhesion on the free edge or over the whole nail plate.

      Good to know: When using a bonder under P+ QDbase the removal time increases. Read more about P+ removal HERE.
