What is the correct setting for the heater?

Heater settings are important! Getting the right temperature of your wax and sugar, is crucial for your treatment.

Lineup Heaters Seminars

The temperature of the waxes is important to your treatment. If the temperature is not right, you can really struggle with the wax during the whole treatment.

It can get too hot, burning the skin, being too thin to work with and leaving the skin red and irritated.

On the other hand, if it's too cold, it can pull strings, be hard to apply, can't be worked down properly between hairs and either break the hair or don´t get them off at all.

At Perron Rigot there are many different consistencies, and it is important to look at which consistency you have chosen to work with, as this will determine how fluid it should be at the right temperature.

Always test the wax on your wrist in a thin layer before applying it to the customer.

The consistency of the wax can variate depending on the temperature in the room, the humidity in the room, the temperature (time of year) outside and whether or not there is a lid on the can or not.

It is recommended to always keep the lid on when the wax is not in use, so that the temperature in the can remains stable and is not affected by cold/air from outside.

Can the heater be turned on for a whole day? Yes, it can!
It is recommended to turn it off in the night and turn it on again in the morning, to make the heater last longer.

When using Hot wax, it is recommended to use the empty tins and fill the hot wax beds into that instead of filling it into the heater directly. This will make your heater last longer and make it easier to keep the heater clean.

When heating up hot wax it is totally fine that there is a hard lump in the middle. The whole can do not need to be fluid. You can use all the fluid wax in the sides. This is normal with more creamy Hot waxes and in the start of the day.

Hot Wax_line

Hot wax setting is recommended between 58-65, remember to look at the consistency to get the right temperature to work with. If you have chosen a fluid consistency, you will not get the best result if it is too thick.

Strip_wax_group

Strip wax setting is recommended between 68-78. Again, look at the chosen consistency and test it on your wrist first. Strip wax need to be much more fluid than a Hot wax. Also, when you are choosing a creamier consistency in strip wax.

Sugaring group

Sugar setting is recommended between 38-52. The sugar can get really hot and burning, so it´s better to have it colder than to warm.
The settings from SOFT – STRONG and variate, so look at the sugar and feel the consistency in your finger. It´s important that it is not too soft when you start, because it will get softer when you start working.
