      Can IBX also be used under enhancements or gel polish, e.g. Shellac?

      The products from IBX are excellent to work under enhancements, gel polish or even normal nail polish. Here you can find out what you need to pay attention to when using them.

      Many clients suffer from weak, brittle nails. Depending on the client's wishes, it can make sense to work a treatment with IBX under enhancements, gel polish manicure or normal nail polish. To decide what is right for your client, you must first analyse the client's nails and clarify what type of coating the client wants. Whether it is a simple natural nail treatment, gel or acrylic enhancements, or gel polish manicure, there is an IBX treatment for everyone.

      What is the difference between IBX REPAIR & STRENGTHEN and IBX BOOST?

      • IBX REPAIR & STRENGTHEN are products that repair, care for and sustainably strengthen the nails. They are introduced into the nail by means of heat. 
      • IBX BOOST can be used to build up a weak nail. You can work IBX Boost in 1-2 layers and thus offer a kind of light, removable enhancement.
      • After a thorough analysis of the nails and their stress, you have to decide if the treatment with IBX REPAIR and STRENGTHEN is sufficient or if you have to create an enhancement  with IBX BOOST.

      How to work a coating on top of IBX REPAIR & STRENGTHEN?

      • You work IBX REPAIR and STRENGHEN as usual. You will find detailed instructions HERE.
      • IBX REPAIR and STRENGHEN does not replace a base coat or an adhesion promoter. So you always have to work the first step of your system.
      • You can work normal nail polish, a light-curing nail polish or an enhencement over IBX REPAIR and STRENGHEN.

      IBX REPAIR and STRENGHEN doesn´t create strenght like an enhancement! It´s a system which creates strenght from within the natural nail.

      How to work a coating on top of IBX BOOST?

      • Work the coating with IBX Boost as usual. You can find the exact working steps HERE. If you continue with another system, you do not have to finish with IBX HIGH SHINE TOP COAT BOOST.
      • You have the option to file IBX into shape before coating. Your decision influences the further procedure. Find out here what the next steps are in each case:

      WITHOUT FILING WITH FILING
      1. Apply the desired colour directly into the sticky layer. 1. Remove the sticky layer with 99% IPA (TopFinish).
      2. Finish with the matching top coat. 2. File coating into shape with a soft file and remove filing dust.
      3. Clean the nails after curing with 99% IPA (TopFinish). 3. Apply the desired product or gel (primer optional), seal with the matching top coat and clean the nails with 99% IPA (TopFinish).

      Important: With IBX BOOST you can not only add more length to the nails, but also strengthen them.

      How to apply nail polish on top of IBX BOOST?

      • Work the coating with IBX Boost as usual. You can find the exact working steps HERE. If you continue with another system, you do not have to finish with IBX HIGH SHINE TOP COAT BOOST.
      • You have the option to file IBX into shape before coating. Your decision influences the further procedure. Find out here what the next steps are in each case:
      WITHOUT FILING WITH FILING
      1. Finish the IBX BOOST enhancement with the corresponding HIGH SHINE TOP COAT. 1. Remove the sticky layer after the second coat of IBX BOOST.
      2. After curing, remove the sticky layer with 99% IPA (TopFinish). 2. Use a soft file to file the coating into shape and then thoroughly remove the dust.
      3. Apply a base coat depending on the system. 3. Finish the work with HIGH SHINE TOP COAT.
      4. Apply the desired color. 4. After curing, remove the sticky layer with 99% IPA (TopFinish).
      5. Allow the paint to dry. 5. Apply a base coat (if desired) and follow with the desired color. 
      6. Apply the matching top coat. 6. Apply the matching top coat.
