IBX Repair and Strengthen form an innovative system with which you can repair and protect natural nails. Whether modelling or classic gel polish manicure, IBX is suitable for all your clients.
Everyone wants strong and healthy nails. With IBX Repair and Strengthening, you can now fulfil this wish for your customers. No matter if it is a customer who comes for a normal manicure or after the removal of a modellage.
If your client has damaged, dry nails or wants to protect them by regularly applying gel polish, you should recommend an IBX treatment.
What you need for the treatment with IBX Repair and Strenghten:
To treat your customers' nails optimally, you only need a few products. Besides the polishes, you need cleanser to clean the nails, a UV or LED lamp and a lamp that emits heat.
For the optimal effect of the IBX system, you need a lamp that emits heat. Why is heat so important for the success of the treatment?
- By using heat, the care substances contained in the IBX system are infiltrated into the nail.
- You cannot use your light curing unit as a heat source. You will need a 40W lamp (halogen or incandescent).
IMPORTANT: A light curing device is not suitable as a heat source, as the UV light emitted would harden the product immediately and the care substances cannot penetrate the nails.
How are IBX Repair and IBX Strengthen processed correctly?
Preparation
- File the nails into shape.
- Soak a pad with Cinnatize™ Cleaner and clean the nails. Make sure the nail is dry before proceeding with the treatment.
Apply IBX Repair
IBX Repair can be applied, but does not have to. It is only needed for particularly damaged areas, e.g. when the nail splits or flakes. If you apply IBX Repair, you must continue with IBX Strengthen.
- Apply IBX Repair to the damaged areas of the nail. If the nail splits, press the product between the layers and then apply it to the entire nail. The product must not get on the skin!
- Now IBX Repair has to be infiltrated into the nail by heat. The corresponding times can be found in the table below. The distance to the lamp should be approx. 15-20 cm.
- Carefully dab off excess product with a dry cellulose wipe.
- Now the layer must be cured. Please refer to the table below for the curing times.
Apply IBX Strengthen
IBX Strengthen can be worked alone when the nails do not need to be repaired but should be protected.
- Apply a thin layer of IBX STRENGTHEN to the entire nail.
- Clean the nail surface with Cinnatize™.
After you have finished working with IBX, you can continue with your manicure or gel polish treatment as usual!
IMPORTANT: The nails must be prepared.
The right heat and curing are important for your success
The important times can be found in this table:
Warmth | Curing | Applications | |
IBX Repair | 60 Seconds |
60 Seconds in the LED lamp (CND/Light Elegance) 2 Minutes in the UV lamp (CND/Light Elegance) |
1 Layer |
IBX Strengthen | 2 Minutes |
60 Seconds in the LED lamp (CND/Light Elegance) 2 Minutes in the UV lamp (CND/Light Elegance) |
1 Layer |
If you are using a different light curing unit, please cure IBX products as long as you would cure your gel.
Important: If you are treating a client with IBX for the first time, you must apply IBX Strengthen 2 times. The first layer is infused with heat for 4 minutes and then cured in LED for 1 minute or in the UV lamp for 2 minutes.
Remove IBX Repair and Stregthen
IBX REPAIR and STRENGTHEN don´t have to be removed. They simply grow out with the nail.
Between the individual steps, you have to clean the nails. How exactly do you do this?
- After IBX Repair and Strengthen have been treated with heat, the nails must be dabbed gently with a dry cellulose to remove excess product.
- Please only dab and do not rub the nails.
- After curing IBX Repair and IBX Strengthen you have to rub the nails with a cellulose soaked in Cinnatize.
