MASSAGE TECHNIQUES – Foot

Foot Massage

FOOT MASSAGE TECHNIQUE (optional)
The feet are the hardest-worked of all the body parts. They withstand our body weight all day long and experience considerable tension. The longer we walk or stand, the more tired they become. By receiving a foot massage, clients can experience relaxation and stress relief. This reflexology massage relieves pain and tension while relaxing muscles. A deep feeling of well-being infuses the whole body.

Actions
• Relieves tension and stress that has accumulated in the feet
• Improves circulation
• Prepares the client to enjoy the treatment

Requirements
Skin therapist uses her fingertips and controlled body pressure to apply firm, continuous and progressively released pressure.

HAND POSITION:
Skin therapist uses the full surface of her hands for maximum contact with the skin.

PRESSURE:
Skin therapist applies progressive pressure according to the client’s preference.

BODY POSITION:
Skin therapist always maintains contact with the client. They should adjust their posture so that their back is straight, and be aware of their position as the massage progresses. Skin therapist uses her full body weight to maintain continuous, even pressure.
