1. Does CND™ Odorless Sculpting Liquid* have a scent?

CND™ Odorless Sculpting Liquid* does not contain the scent of EMA or MMA
odor in this monomer.


2. When using CND™ Odorless Sculpting Liquid* will the nails have a top film after the set time?

Yes, CND™ Odorless Sculpting Liquid* has a top film that can be removed or
filed off, whichever method the Nail Professional prefers.


3. What can be used to remove the top film of CND™ Odorless Sculpting Liquid*?

350002 Saturate a lint-free pad with 99% Isopropyl Alcohol and firmly press and rub
into the nail to remove the top film after the product has set.

 

 


4. Do CND™ Sculpting Liquids have the same adhesion?

Yes, both CND™ Retention+™ and CND™ Odorless Sculpting Liquid* have the
same adhesion.

The monomers selected for each formula are what drive the difference. CND™
Odorless Sculpting Liquid* uses no EMA or MMA at all, allowing it to be odorless.
Instead, it uses a blend of monomers to accomplish a strong and fast reaction.

11. What file grit should be used to finish enhancements?

12. Can I use a gel top coat over CND™ Liquid & Powder enhancements instead of buffing to a high shine when finishing?

13. Why do I have bubbles in my CND™ Liquid & Powder enhancements?

• Ensure all brush hairs are saturated with monomer at the beginning of every service by pressing brush to bottom of dappen dish to flush out air.
• Press and smooth product to remove trapped air bubble.
• Do not over work product.


14. How can I prevent lifting of CND™ Liquid & Powder enhancements?

• Review and perform steps of proper P.R.E.P. Application. Follow the CND™ step-by-step guide of application to ensure full contact to the natural nail and excellent adhesion of the enhancement product.
• Avoid soft tissue contact during application as this can pull natural body oil onto the surface of the nail plate and impede adhesion.
• Leave a tiny free margin around the sidewall and cuticle areas to prevent soft tissue contact.
• Press and smooth the product to reduce bubbles, increase contact and improve adhesion.
• Use PREP Boosters CND™ NailFresh and CND™ NailPrime on lift-prone clients.
• Apply a very thin film of monomer on lift prone natural nails before applying product.


15. Why do my CND™ Liquid & Powder enhancements turn yellow?

• Avoid contaminating products to prevent yellowing. Use complete systems to prevent product contamination.
• Use a properly stored, cleaned and maintained sculpting brush.
• Clean the brush in a small amount of fresh monomer after each set of nails.
• Use a dedicated sculpting brush for each monomer.
• Keep workstation clean and dust free to prevent product contamination.
• Use only enough monomer in dappen dish for each service; clean it out between uses with a clean plastic-backed disposable towel.


16. How can I create custom CND™ Liquid & Powder enhancements for my clients?
All CND™ Sculpting Powders are compatible with each other. Mix various
colors together to create custom shades for every client’s needs.


17. Is CND™ Liquid & Powder soak-off or removable?
CND™ Liquid & Powder is removable. Removal time can vary based on thickness of product. For efficiency, we recommend reducing the enhancement by 95% using an E-file before wrapping the nail with CND™ OFFLY FAST™ Moisturizing Remover or acetone and a double cotton pad in a Remover Wrap or foil.


18. Does the natural nail need to be filed prior to applying CND™ Liquid
& Powder?
CND™ Liquid & Powder is an enhancement system that requires P.R.E.P. for proper adhesion. Light shine removal is needed using a 240-grit buffer or medium enhancement E-file bit.
P.R.E.P. includes:
P-Perform a manicure
R-Remove shine
E-Eliminate surface contaminants
P-Purify nail plate layers

 


19. Is it possible to apply CND™ Liquid & Powder too thin?
Yes, if your client experiences cracking or chipping, you may be applying the CND™ Liquid & Powder too thin. Try applying an additional layer for proper architecture, balance, and apex placement. It is important to engineer the nail to with stand everyday vigour and usage.
