What is the difference between Creamy, Semi creamy and fluid wax textures?

Perron Rigot™ waxes can be used for different areas of the body. One of the main differences is the consistencies. Here you can find out which wax is suitable for what and which consistency you like to work with.

The different wax consistencies differ first of all in texture. Here we explain which consistencies are available and on which body areas the waxes are applied.

Overview:

💧        Creamy = firm texture - opaque - runs slowly from the spatula - suitable for more rough & thick hair structure

💧💧    Semi Creamy = between creamy and liquid - light and velvety texture - runs a little faster from the spatula - Suitable for all areas and hair structure

💧💧💧  Fluid = Liquid texture - transparent - runs quickly from the spatula - suitable for more sensitive areas & medium to fine hair structure

Creamy consistency

Creamy textures are very effective to work with on more stubborn hair structures. The creamy consistency is more thick and you need to work it a bit more into the hair for it to grab around the hair and lock. Then you will get great results and not have hair that breaks. Just because it is a thicker consistency you still need to work in thin layers and adjust the amount of wax you use per area. When working with a creamy wax we recommend that you start with applying in the hair direction with a firm grip and remove by pulling the opposite direction. You can work in both directions with the hot waxes, not the strip waxes, the application just need to be in the same direction and NOT back and fort.

Important with the creamy consistencies of Hot Wax: Do not take too much time when applying. The creamy waxes dry through quickly at normal to cool room temperature.

Semi-Creamy consistency

Semi-creamy consistencies are slightly more fluid than creamy consistencies. The texture is soft and velvety and suitable for all areas. The waxes are easy to apply and can be applied thinly. Semi-creamy textures are used on all hair types and areas. For more sensitive areas you can find those with hypoallergenic formula. When working with a semi-creamy wax we recommend that you start with applying in the hair direction with a firm grip and remove by pulling the opposite direction. You can work in both directions with the hot waxes, not the strip waxes, the application just need to be in the same direction and NOT back and forth.

Fluid consistency

The consistency of the fluid waxes can be compared very well with a fast-flowing honey. The fluid waxes give you the possibility to work even thinner and to minimise the product consumption per treatment. The Hot waxes are more suitable for small and sensitive areas, for more medium to fine hair. When working with a fluid wax we recommend that you start with applying in the hair direction with a firm grip and remove by pulling the opposite direction. You can work in both directions with the hot waxes, not the strip waxes, the application just need to be in the same direction and NOT back and fort. The Liquid Hot waxes takes a little bit longer to set. Remember to work in tin layers with both Hot and Strip waxes
