Which wax is suitable for which hair types?
There are many different waxes and they are designed for different customers. Learn in this article, which wax you should use for certain hair types and lengths.
For perfect depilation in one pass, the choice of wax is very important, especially when it comes to different hair types and lengths. To meet individual customer needs, Perron Rigot™ offers different types of wax, both in the area of hot wax and strip wax.
Hair types
Downy hair
For facial hair or also downy hair the Hot Wax Visage is recommended
- HOT WAX: Visage has a very creamy texture and can therefore be applied precisely to the eyebrow or upper lip.
Fine Hair
In general, all Perron Rigot™ waxes can be used on fine hair. Especially recommended are the following Hot Wax varieties: Cashmere, Boudoir, Cristalline, Euroblonde, Euroblonde Gold, Fiorella, Homme and Green, as well as all Strip Wax products
- HOT WAX: Fiorella is a wax specially designed for sensitive and delicate skin.
- HOT WAX: Homme is ideal for men's hair and has a light marine scent.
- HOT WAX: Green is a vegan product and specially formulated for dry skin.
- STRIP WAX: Végétale is a vegan wax and specially designed for dry skin.
- STRIP WAX: Tendre Coton is particularly suitable for sensitive or young skin. The creamy texture combined with the use of special cotton strips ensures that customers feel up to 81% less pain* compared to treatment with traditional waxes.

Strong hair
For strong or even very robust and resistant hair, we recommend Hot Wax Homme, Eurose, Intimate 4 or Escential Rose. In the Strip Wax range, Cristal Ocean, Fiorella and Nacrée blanche are well suited for strong hair.
- HOT WAX: Homme is ideal for men's sturdy hair and has a light marine scent.
- HOT WAX: Intimate 4 is specially designed for the intimate area and enriched with coconut oil.
- STRIP WAX: Cristal Ocean and Fiorella are hypoallergenic products and super suitable for sensitive skin
- STRIP WAX: Nacrèe blanche is a vegan product and thanks to light mother of pearl in the wax, is easily visible on the skin.

Hair lengths
Short hair
Even for the shortest hair, as well as stubble, there is the appropriate hot wax and strip wax. This is best achieved with the so-called stepping technique*.
- HOT WAX: Escential Rose is ideal for very short, stubbly hair. Using the "stepping technique" it is possible to remove the shortest/stubbly hair.
- HOT WAX: Eurose has a creamy texture and is super suitable for short hair.
- STRIP WAX: Fiorella is a hypallergenic product and is super suitable for sensitive skin.
- STRIP WAX: Nacrèe blanche is a vegan product and thanks to light mother of pearl in the wax, is easily visible on the skin.
Long hair
All Perron Rigot™ waxes can be used on long hair. Especially recommended are: Hot Wax Cashmere, Boudoir, Cristalline, Euroblonde, Euroblonde Gold, Fiorella, Homme and Green, as well as all Strip Wax products

Important note: The hair should grow for about 10-14 days so that you have a good result after waxing treatment. If the hair is too long, you can trim or cut the hair to a length of 3 - 5 mm before the wax treatment. The hair should not be longer than 1 cm.
Stepping Technique:
- Apply wax against the direction of hair growth and allow to dry.
- Stretch the skin and remove the wax in the direction of hair growth in several small steps moving left and right.
